Week 6 reflection

For this week we learnt the importance of using a RAW file instead of a JPEG file.

This basically means a better quality photograph, despite the file size which is one of the cons of this kind of image alongside the lengthier process of correcting the raw photo.

I think that this will help me when it comes to my project as it can create more editorial looking portraits given the higher quality of the image, I will be experimenting with this process when it comes to taking my portraits. However, I might decide not to as I might be adding texture to the photos I take to make them look more like polaroid’s so this might be an unneeded lengthier process if I decide to do that instead.

Seeing the difference in quality with the images side by side really made me consider a few different options.
