In the first image the F stop is on it’s lowest possible setting, by doing this, Robbie is the sole focus of my shot and the background has no influence on the shot at all

In the second image the F stop is of a middle level, by doing this, Robbie is still the key factor within the image but you can begin to see some of the background, this shot is a commonly used one as it shows the key part of the image without completely negating the background

The final image is with the F stop at the highest possible setting, the one is the shot that shows the background most clear

I believe the shot where the F stop is at a middle level is the best shot as it is a blend of high quality mixed with some sort of a background. All three shots have different uses and can all be very effective. With the F stop low it really emphasises something specific which can be important, likewise with a high F stop showing a detailed full image.
Extra credit

This image shows three bottles lined up with the F stop at a medium level, with this shot it shows a clear shot of all bottles as well as some of the background. This shot is a neutral shot that would be used for the majority of photography.

This image is with the F stop low, this image brings out the front can and makes the back two bottles less in focus within the shot. With this image the background is also of little focus and doesn’t have much impact within the shot
