Week Seven – Task

Before

After

For the ‘Before’ image, it was a very wide image which captured part of house next to the tube station. It didn’t seem necessary to have such a wide image with so much in frame as that would distract the reader from I desired to be the main focus of image, which was the arriving Tube train and the woman searching through her bag. To get the resulting ‘After’ image, I used the perspective crop tool and lined it up against the metal poles running adjacent to the platform and the train.

Before

After

This image was taken in the aftermath of the Arsenal V Brentford game as fans made their way home and out of the stadium. Again, using the perspective crop tool, I used the image on the side of the stadium as a guide, specifically the shorts with the number 10 on (the player is Jack Wilshere) as the the individuals cropped out were too blurry. For brightness, the ‘After’ image is -20, with the contrast being 30. Due to the mass amount of lights around the stadium, these settings toned this down and made the image slightly diluted, which I see as positive.
