In this weeks workshop we learn’t how to use a camera and also how to use the camera on a Iphone. We solely focused on the apeture and the F-stop when taking pictures.
We were set a task of going out and taking three images, one with the F-stop low (F/1.4), one with the F-stop medium (F/8), and the final one with the F-stop high (F/16).
In this workshop I learn’t that the lower the F-stop is, the higher the focus will be on the specific object, but the background will be a lot more blurrier. As the F-stop gets higher the light gets lower, but the picture as a whole becomes more focused.
I particularly liked this task as I enjoyed taking photos of all different objects in Leeds City centre and playing around with the F-stop on my Iphone, and getting used to the setting.
