Week six task

I chose two images that I thought were good images that could have been greatly improved with minor changed, Through experimenting with photoshop I believe the images are of a much higher quality.

The first image was taken at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s ground. I thought the image had great potential, however the was some minor flaws such as the top of the image being clouded over by the edge of the roof. That as well as some potential colour changes were the two things I wanted to change in order to feel as though this image was complete.

In the completed photo, the roof was cropped out which felt as though it let more natural light into the photo. I also ended up increasing both the brightness and contrast in order to bring as much light into the image as possible, creating what I believe was a much improved final result.

The second image I chose was one in the Leeds Beckett tennis centre. I chose this one as in contrast the the picture at Old Trafford, it is a dark setting and the layer changes would therefore need to be very different which I thought would be something interesting to play with.

In the second image I cropped it in slightly so the court in focus was the only thing in shot. As well as that I took the brightness down slightly but increased the contrast. As well as that I slightly increased the exposure to counteract the lighting of the tennis centre.
