Leeds coffee shop enjoying life one year on

Livett’s coffee shop has held its place behind the Wardrobe for a year now and though they aren’t in the heart of city, business is still strong.

The coffee shop, named after R.A.H. Livett, the architect responsible for much of Leeds’ redesign after the second world war, has thrived in its hole-in-the-wall spot on St Peter’s Square.

Edd Mitchell, who works at the shop, was pleased with the progress of Livett’s.

He said, “it’s been a really good year for us, we had a good start and it’s just continued.

“Summer was a bit slow but it has kicked back into gear now”

Though they are slightly outside of town, Livett’s is still benefitting from their busy surroundings.

Mitchell continued, “We get a lot of people from the bus station and from the BBC. We get a lot of support from the Wardrobe bar, as we are attached with them”
